Running Upsets

In case you haven't heard, there's a sporting event this evening called the "Super Bowl". Something with tenpins, apparently.

While pondering the possibility of an upset, the thought of great upsets in track & field history came to mind. In the modern era, there has been no upset like Tom Byers at the 1981 Bislett Games. If you're unfamiliar with it, you can read an article or just watch it on YouTube.

I don't think this video is the right one—Ovett wins. At the beginning the announcer says that Byers won as pacemaker "a fortnight ago." I didn't see the right video on youtube, however. Too bad, sounds like a great race.
