World Rankings Update -- Decathlon / Heptathlon

MEN

1. Jake Arnold, USA, 60

2. Mikk Pahapill, EST, 56

3. Leonel Suárez, CUB, 54

4. Roland Schwarzl, AUT, 47

5. Ashton Eaton, USA, 42

5. Yordani García, CUB, 42

7. Oleksiy Kasyanov, UKR, 38

8. Willem Coertzen, RSA, 36

9. Roman Šebrle, CZE, 32

10. Lars Albert, GER, 30

Arnold won the decathlon at this weekend's Multistars competition in Italy, a surprisingly weak field.  Pahapill is second on the strength of his Euro Indoor win.  Suárez is the current world leader.  Oregon senior Eaton won this weekend's Pac-10 decathlon.

The women's competition at the Multistars was much stronger.  Ennis won with a new PR, with Melnychenko second.
