World Rankings Update -- Middle Distance

MEN

800 meters

1. Abubaker Kaki, SUD, 100

2. Ismail Ahmed Ismail, SUD, 80

5. Haron Keitany, KEN, 54

6. Mehdi Baala, FRA, 47

7. Asbel Kipruto Kiprop, KEN, 40

10. Abraham Chepkirwok, UGA, 33

Kaki and Kiprop ran very fast (1:43.09 and 1:43.17) for first and second in Doha last Friday.

Choge beat Keitany in Doha, but both ran blazing times (3:30.88 to 3:30.90), so Choge didn't close on Keitany by that much.

Cheruyiot took second in a mad dash to the finish in Doha behind Burka on Friday, but the rest of her season has been so impressive that she goes to the #2 spot in the rankings.
